Dressmaking

Our dressmaking service covers everything from bridal gowns to trousers, mother of the bride (or groom) to bridesmaid dresses and prom girls.

From holy communion and flower girls, Mrs and Mrs gowns and separates to all the simply stylish or uniquely wonderfully outrageous ideas you can dream of for getting married in, performing in, partying, dancing and just about anything in!

 Indeed any event where you want to look and feel extra special - or maybe just extra!

HOW IT WORKS

Your initial consultation is free and we will chat about your ideas for your dream dress, top, skirt, trousers, jacket etc.

Don't worry too much if you haven't got anything concrete to show, we can research and work through what styles you like and tailor them to suit your own unique shape and personality.

We usually start with a private Pinterest board where we can collab and add everything we think looks interesting - this is where we can go nuts and really get some ideas flowing!

Then we can begin to streamline all the ideas into a few drawings for you to choose from.

NEXT STEPS

We will take your measurements and make a first 'toile' which is a mock up of your design made up in calico or similar inexpensive fabric. We can see how it fits and tweak the design to perfection. At the same time we will be sourcing fabrics for you to choose from.

Once your design has been finalised, the fabric will be ordered and your dream will be brought to life!

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE?

Allow around 4-6 months (definitely 6 for Wedding Gowns)

We do offer an expedited service of around 2 months by special request - enquire to see whether this will be available when you book your first consultation.
